ABOUT THE SOLAR HYBRID 224 LITRE FREEZER AT KUMBADIRECT
The 224 Litre Chest Freezer at KumbaDirect is called a Hybrid. This means that it works with both AC & DC.
AC is energy that comes from electricity or Inverter. This particular feezer comes with 3 x30W panels. The panels are not there for the fridge to work with them. They are there to help so that when the fridge is connected to inverter or electricity, it would be helped by these panels, so that the energy that is taken from electricity or the energy that is taken from the inverter, would be reduced by something like 60%.

WHEN YOU DECIDE TO BUY THIS FRIDGE
If you buy the fridge, with its 3x30W panels, and don’t have an already existing solar system, or exisiting electricity to jump-start the freezer,  it means these 3x30W panels won’t work.  However, if you want the fridge to work with panels only, you have to replace the 30W X 3 panels with 100W x 3 panels. Meaning 1ooW x3 panels are supposed to be bought separately.
